زمینه و هدف: عفونت های بیمارستانی در اثر اقامت بیمار در بیمارستان رخ داده و از جمله مهمترین عوامل ایجادکننده مشکلات پزشکی، اجتماعی و اقتصادی در کشورهای مختلف هستند. اعضای تیم مراقبت بهداشتی بویژه پرستاران نقش منحصر به فردی در کنترل عفونت های بیمارستانی دارند. این مطالعه با هدف مقایسه دانـش، نگرش و عملکـرد پرسـتاران و دانشجویان پرستاری در خصوص کنترل عفونت بیمارستانی در مرکز آموزشی- درمانی امام خمینی (ره) سراب انجام شد.
روش کار: این مطالعه توصیفی- تحلیلی به صورت مقطعی در سال 1399 روی 135 نفر از پرستاران و 135 نفر از دانشجویان در عرصه پرستاری مرکز آموزشی- درمانی امام خمینی (ره) سراب که به صورت نمونه گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند، انجام شد. ابزار گردآوری داده ها پرسشنامه پژوهش گر ساخته جهت سنجش آگاهی، نگرش و عملکرد جامعه هدف در خصوص کنترل عفونت های بیمارستانی بود. اطلاعات جمع آوری شده با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS-19 و روش های آمار توصیفی (میانگین و انحراف معیار) و استنباطی (آزمون های تی تست، ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن و تحلیل واریانس) تجزیه و تحلیل گردید.
یافته‌ها: میانگین نمرات آگاهی پرستاران (51/ 3 ±6/ 9) از دانشجویان (10/ 4±1/ 9) بیشتر بود و هر دو در سطح ضعیف قرار داشتند. همچنین میانگین نمرات نگرش (48/ 6± 32/ 41) و عملکرد (99/ 2±53/ 46) پرستاران از میانگین نمرات نگرش (79/ 5±70/ 39) و عملکرد دانشجویان (57/ 2±83/ 43) بیشتر بود که نشان دهنده نگرش و عملکرد متوسط دانشجویان و پرستاران بود.
نتیجه گیری: با توجه به اهمیت کنترل عفونت های بیمارستانی، علاوه بر تاکید بیشتر بر آموزش پرستاران در قالب برنامه های آموزش ضمن خدمت، در دوران تحصیل نیز بایستی تمرکز بیشتری بر تدریس مباحث مربوط به رعایت موازین عفونت‌های بیمارستانی انجام گیرد.
