زمینه و هدف: امروزه زوجین شاغل در سراسر جهان به طور فزاینده ای شیوع یافته است. این سبک زندگی علی رغم افزایش سطح رفاه اقتصادی، بخاطر فشارها، تعارضات نقشی و ماهیت زندگی، مشکلات زناشویی را برای آنها در پی داشته است. بنابراین پژوهش حاضر با هدف تبیین نارضایتی جنسی در زوجین شاغل انجام گرفت.
روش کار: پژوهش حاضر یک مطالعه کیفی با رویکرد پدیدارشناسی تفسیری بود که با مشارکت 13 زوج شاغل انجام شد. شرکت کنندگان به صورت هدفمند و با توجه به معیارهای ورودی، از بین مراجعه کنندگان به مراکز مشاوره اردبیل انتخاب و قبل از آغاز مصاحبه، ضمن امضای فرم رضایت آگاهانه شرکت در پژوهش، به مقیاس رضایت جنسی لارسون جهت ارزیابی اولیه و ورود به پژوهش پاسخ دادند. داده ها با استفاده از مصاحبه های نیمه ساختار جمع آوری و با شیوه تحلیل مضمون نسخه دپوی و گیتلین (1993) کدگذاری، دسته بندی و تحلیل شدند.
یافته ها: بر اساس پاسخ های شرکت کنندگان در پژوهش، مضامین مرتبط با نارضایتی جنسی زوجین شاغل در 2 مضمون اصلی «رابطه جنسی و زناشویی نامطلوب» و «مشکل در احقاق جنسی»، 7 مضمون فرعی و 19 مقوله طبقه بندی شد.
نتیجه گیری: بر اساس تجارب زیسته زوجین شاغل، نارضایتی جنسی دارای مضامین جنسی و زناشویی میباشد. یافته های پژوهش حاضر را می توان در زمینه آسیب شناسی، پیشگیری و درمان مشکلات زناشویی و جنسی زوجین شاغل در مراکز مشاوره خصوصی و  سازمان‫ ها به کار بست.
