زمینه و هدف: مواجهه مداوم با موقعیت‌های بحرانی، فرسودگی شغلی پرستاران بخش مراقبت‌های ویژه را تشدید و امر مراقبت را با تصمیم گیری های اخلاقی بی شمار همراه می نماید. این مطالعه با هدف تعیین ارتباط فرسودگی شغلی و تصمیم‌گیری اخلاقی در پرستاران بخش‌های مراقبت ویژه بیمارستان نمازی شیراز انجام شد.
روش کار: در این مطالعه توصیفی- همبستگی که در سال های 1398 و 1399 انجام شد، تعداد 120 نفر از پرستاران بخش مراقبت های ویژه بیمارستان نمازی شیراز به صورت تصادفی ساده انتخاب شدند. داده ها با استفاده از پرسشنامه‌ فرسودگی شغلی ماسلاچ (1986) و تصمیم گیری اخلاقی جمع آوری و با استفاده از نرم افزار SPSS-23 و با بهره گیری از آمار توصیفی (میانگین، انحراف معیار، فراوانی و درصد) و استنباطی (آزمون پیرسون و رگرسیون خطی چندگانه) مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند.
یافته ها: میانگین نمرات کلی فرسودگی شغلی و تصمیم‌گیری اخلاقی به ترتیب 23/62±68/13 و 12/23±56/33 و در سطح متوسط قرار داشتند. نتایج حاکی از یک ارتباط معنی دار منفی بین فرسودگی شغلی و تصمیم‌گیری اخلاقی بود (0/001>p). متغیر سن نیز نقش پیشگویی کننده در فرسودگی شغلی و تصمیم‌گیری اخلاقی داشت (0/001>p).
نتیجه گیری: ارائه مراقبت های جامع در بخش های ویژه نیازمند سطح بالایی از توانایی تصمیم گیری اخلاقی است، لذا این سطح از تصمیم گیری اخلاقی کافی به نظر نمیرسد. همچنین میزان فرسودگی شغلی قابل توجه، تاثیر منفی و معنیدار آن بر تصمیم‌گیری اخلاقی و نقش پیش‌بینی‌کننده سن بر آن‌ها، مستلزم توجه بیشتر سیاستگذاران جهت بررسی فرسودگی شغلی و تصمیم‌گیری اخلاقی و به کارگیری پرستاران جوان تر در کنار پرستاران با تجربه در بخش‌های مراقبت ویژه میباشد.
